Description
Coconut Aminos is a soy-free seasoning sauce made from the sap of coconut trees. This sap, fresh from the tree, is rich in nutrients and only mixed with Coconut Secret's own sun-dried, mineral-rich sea salt before being aged, with no added water or fermentation boosters needed. Compared to soy, coconut sap has up to 14 times more amino acids. While many soy sauces are fermented by soaking soybeans in salt water and introducing specific molds, yeasts, and bacteria, coconut sap is naturally nutrient-dense when tapped directly from the coconut blossoms. It has a low glycemic index (GI of 35) and provides an abundance of amino acids, minerals, vitamin C, and B vitamins, with a nearly neutral pH. Coconut Aminos can be used like soy sauce in dressings, marinades, sautés, and with sushi.
